the world’s become Kryptonite

Last Friday, I made my way home to Toronto for the holidays – right during the eye of a storm! This storm consisted of an outpouring of snow and freezing rain, resulting in a city covered in ice. At around 9.30 PM on Saturday night, we witnessed 3 explosions in the sky, followed by a power outage that lasted a full 24 hours. We were one of the fortunate areas of the city that had only a day of no power – there are still some areas that may have no power for any amount of time, possibly lasting up to 5 days!

During this power outage, I ventured my way outside with my point & shoot and managed to take photos of the dazzling ice sculptures made by our tantalizing Mother Nature. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my part of Toronto looking so enchanting as I did on this particularly… vitreous day.
